Overview
When you wonder about the implementation of a "smart home" system, you probably think that it's very expensive; too complicated; why do I even need it?
But what if I told you that there exists a small component, which requires no charging, that can connect easily to almost any electric device and turn it into a smart device. What would you say then?
With such a device at hand, you could control lights, air conditioning, music, home security etc. You could even heat up the boiler prior to your return home, or open the door remotely, if your kid forgot to take his keys again...

User Research
I've conducted a short survey, which consisted of 52 people who were willing to participate, in order to put together personas. The results are as follows:
96.2%
Of participants don’t have a "smart home" system
50.5%
Of participants think that a "smart home" system is a very expensive pleasure, and they cannot afford it
50%
Of participants who answered 'yes' to having a "smart home" system,
report using it mostly to control the air conditioner
59%
Of participants are in the group range of ages 20 – 35
67.7%
Of participants are married, or in a relationship
33%
Of participants who answered 'yes' to having a "smart home" system,
report using it mostly to adjust the lights

Personas
The gathered data from said survey allowed me to compose personas, understand their pains and assemble my main flow:
Modi'in
In a relationship with Idan.
Clothing store manager
In her free time, Yulia likes to go to the gym, or read books.
Present day, Yulia and Idan live in a rental apartment in Modi'in, Israel.
A "smart home" system is something she just cannot afford, although she would very much like to try it out.
"It just isn't worth even considering, due to the high price of implementation, to invest in this kind of system inside a rental apartment"

Julia 27
Tel-Aviv
Married to Yuli and father
to 5-year-old Hayley
Data analyst in a
small tech company
In his free time, Dor likes listening to music, or salsa dancing.Present day, Dor and his family live in a rental apartment in the center of Tel-Aviv City, Israel. His landlord doesn’t allow him to implement a "smart home" system in his apartment.
"I would very much like to own and use this kind of system," says Dor, "But it's not a valid possibility in a rental apartment. I would need to rewire the fuse box and adjust the whole house to it. That's something my landlord isn't OK with"

Pain Points
So what are the users pains ?
Cost
Implementing a "smart home" system is an expansive matter by itself, not to mention the maintenance it requires periodically. Because of that, most people can't (or won't) invest their money to acquire this sort of system, and especially if they live in a rental apartment.
Possibility
A considerable percentage of people live in rental apartments, and in most cases their landlords don't approve of this sort of process done (involves renovation, fuse box changes, wire re-adjustment etc).
Time
The implementation of a "smart home" system takes a lot of time, due to the considerable number of logistic matters you would need to address (involves expert consultation, technicians, materials, permits etc).
Small sensory based technological component
that plugs to any wall plug and can potentially connect a single electrical device of your choosing to the "Panda home" app (via Wi-Fi), turning it to a smart device.
Solution
So how can you considerably lower the price of implementation, while giving rental apartment tenants a chance to use this advanced home technology?

add a new device
Click the plus button in the app,
insert the component into the electrical outlet, connect the desired device into the component
Press the activation button.
Now wait.
The app searches for your device

Everything is ready!
now you can control the device from anywhere
The whole experience
You are invited to see the main flow of the app.
